OUR INSTRUCTORS!

 

Sheri Chronis is the 4K teacher at Neighborhood Preschool.  She has been teaching preschool since the 2000-2001 school year.  In 2013, Neighborhood Nursery was fortunate to collaborate with the Appleton Area School District and their 4K program.  Sheri enjoys developing relationships with other schools and teachers in the community.

Mrs. Chronis graduated from Marian College in Fond du Lac with a degree in elementary education and a minor in English/Language Arts. She grew up in Appleton and currently lives in Greenville with her husband and 3 boys.  Her time out of school has included watching her boys play football,
basketballand baseball. She also loves to play sports, and as a family they enjoy being active.

Mrs. Chronis absolutely loves teaching 4K and the students help keep her young.  Her goal is to create a sense of wonder within her students and make them excited about the world that surrounds them.

Mary Smrecek has been the 4K assistant teacher for over 20 years. She is also the director of Neighborhood Preschool. She has an education degree from St. Norbert College. Her three children attended Neighborhood Preschool and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mrs. Smrecek has 6 grandchildren and enjoys spending time with them. She also enjoys traveling and going up north to their family cabin.

Jennifer Winter is a 4K assistant at Neighborhood Preschool.  She received her Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1994.  She worked in various setting throughout her career and acted as an Activities Program developer and coordinator in 2 of the local hospitals.  Other roles she has held include library volunteer, Readers and Leaders Parent, PTA member at elementary and middle school levels, and Meals on Wheels volunteer.

 

Mrs. Winter loves to spend time with her family and attending various sports and school activities for her 3 children.

Some her hobbies include reading, cross stitching, going out to the movies, and summer road trips.
